Registered charity County Durham Foundation
is the ideal vehicle for people who are looking to
put something back into the communities in which they
have lived and worked. Unlike other charities, we
have the flexibility to support a wide range of good
causes from children to the elderly, from the arts
to the environment. Uniquely, we look to match the
interests of our supporters with the needs of the
community, and to offer donors a say in how their
gift is used.
New Trends in Charitable
Giving
A recent article from Third Sector, the
UK’s leading voluntary
sector publication has highlighted some interesting
recent trends in charitable giving. The last financial
year has seen steady growth and three quarters of
the top 500 charities believe that public belief
in giving is strong.
A survey of public attitudes in the
report showed that 38%
felt that giving locally was more important than
national giving. If giving locally is something
that
you think your clients might be interested in County
Durham Foundation may be the
ideal charity to facilitate their wishes.
We give grants to local good causes
that make a real difference to people’s quality
of life in County
Durham and Darlington. We fulfil your client’s wishes
by ensuring that
the right local projects are chosen, with as much
involvement from them in the decision making as
they wish. Working with us gives you access to thousands
of local charities and people in need.
The report also stated that 48% think
that charities should make giving easier. County
Durham Foundation helps your clients avoid red tape
and solicitors bills, saving time and giving them
piece of mind. We take over all the legal responsibilities
and liabilities for running your clients fund and
complying with the charity law. All they need to
do is read and sign the paper work.
