Welcome to our Professional Advisors e-newsletter

Registered charity County Durham Foundation is the ideal vehicle for people who are looking to put something back into the communities in which they have lived and worked. Unlike other charities, we have the flexibility to support a wide range of good causes from children to the elderly, from the arts to the environment. Uniquely, we look to match the interests of our supporters with the needs of the community, and to offer donors a say in how their gift is used.

Our long-term endowment funds are perfect for legacies, as they
guarantee
how the money will be used. Support is given each year in the name of the fund and we manage all investment, accounting and legal requirements. This is the easiest, most effective way to ensure that your clients charitable bequests will support future generations.

 Bernard Robinson

County Durham Foundation Board Member Bernard Robinson has recently set up a residual legacy to help support future generations of local people. Bernard’s estate will help the Foundation continue to improve the lives of people in County Durham and Darlington.

Educated in Darlington and Bishop Auckland, Bernard spent many years at TKA Tallent Chassis in various positions including Executive Chairman. He has always been committed to the local community and is an active member of our board. Bernard received an OBE in 1988 and is a former North East Businessman of the Year.

Bernard has this to say about the Foundation “County Durham Foundation has developed into a most successful and highly respected Community Foundation. This has been made possible by the tireless dedication of our board members and staff.”
