Pennyman Primary School

"At Pennyman Primary School, we believe that within our inclusive setting all children have a right to the highest quality of education, set in a high quality environment."

Children at the Pennyman Primary school.Pennyman Primary School received £410 to send two children with complex physical disabilities on a specialist activity break.

This Middlesbrough School organises an annual 5-day trip to the Calvert Trust, an outdoor activity centre in the Lake District. The Trust specialises in activities for children with special needs.

Whilst at the centre, mainstream and disabled children are encouraged to work in teams whilst taking part in challenging outdoor activities. The Trust aims to raise the confidence and self esteem of all the children who attend and provides an opportunity for disabled children to get involved in exciting physical activities. During these 5 days the children develop interpersonal skills, broaden their horizons and learn more about the countryside in which they live.
