Joanne and Jodie Griffiths

Joanne is a 39-year-old single parent and full time carer for her disabled daughter, Jodie. Jodie is 12-years-old and has quadraplegic cerebral palsy. This means that Jodie has extremely little independent mobility and requires adult care at all times. Joanne suffers from considerable physical and mental strain as a result of her responsibilities, which has recently culminated in anxiety and depression.

Joanne received £1,000 towards a holiday to Disneyland, Florida for herself and Jodie.

Joanne promised Jodie before her next major surgery that she would take her swimming with Dolphins.
