EDF Energy High Hedley Hope II Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund

Maximum Grant: £1,000 (exceptions up to £5,000 may be considered)

Area of benefit:

1. Priority will be given to applications within a three mile radius of the wind farm, to include: Billy Row, Cornsay, Cornsay Colliery, East Hedleyhope, Esh, Esh Winning, Hedley Hill, Quebec, Roddymoor, Satley, Sunniside, Tow Law, Waterhouses.

2. Consideration will also be given to groups located within a 10-mile radius of the site, if proof can be given that the beneficiaries come from the above areas.

What we will fund:

The following types of activity and projects will be funded:

• Biodiversity and habitat conservation.
• Energy conservation and increased use of renewables.
• Other projects that are community-based and / or community-led.

Grant Size

All applications must be within the £100 to £1,000 range, although in exceptional circumstances grants of up to £5,000 may be considered.

Step 2: Please fill out an Expression of Interest Form. You can do this in two ways: by filling in our online form or by downloading a pdf version to fill in and post to us at:

Step 3: Sit back and wait to hear from us. We will look at your Expression of Interest form and if we feel that your project meets the criteria we will then request that you complete a full application. This system will ensure that you do not spend time completing a full and detailed application for a project that may not be supported.
