Fund Criteria
Christine T Smith Memorial Fund supports:
- Women, to gain confidence and achieve their true potential i.e attending conferences, training, mentoring, business start up, confidence building.
- General community activity at a grass roots level.
Christine told people that the best way to get things done was to get involved and was determined to see this region competing on an even footing with others. She wanted all people, not just some, to benefit from higher standards of living and a sense of security.
To receive a grant you must live in (or your project must be based in) County Durham. Applications from Chester le Street will be given priority.
Grants will normally be for a maximum of £1,000.
